Three players are questionable
It’s not only Germany that has problems for tomorrow’s World Cup debut. With 24 hours left before the game, Costa Rica still has three question marks in regards to its starting lineup. Gilberto Martínez, Mauricio Solís and José Francisco Porras did not take part in the regular training session scheduled for this morning with the rest of the team. Instead, they just did some conditioning exercises and some jogging around the pitch, due to lagging injuries. Porras has some pain caused by his adductor muscle, while Martinez again felt some pain in his left knee – that had bothered him during his first days in Germany, a couple of weeks ago. Solis’ problem is in his right leg, with muscle pain. The medical staff is still not sure whether they are going to be available for tomorrow’s game, and a decision should be made some six hours prior to the match.
