Team is in Hamburg
Costa Rica left Walldorf for Hamburg on Tuesday, in anticipation for its second game in the World Cup, tomorrow, against Ecuador. After training during the morning in Walldorf, the team travelled to Hamburg and managed to train at night in the city. Coach Alexandre Guimaraes opted to give his players small game situation rehearsals. In Hamburg, players practiced free kick situations. “Ecuador is not a team that traditionally attacks, so we must be intelligent to read their game properly, block plays and attack to make a difference,” said Guimaraes, according to the Costa Rican Football Federation. The team has a walk scheduled for Wednesday morning, with a trip to the AOL Arena in the afternoon to get to know the venue of tomorrow’s match.
