Latest from Costa Rica
Paolo Wanchope, perhaps the greatest costa rican to ever play the game, is back home playing for local club Heredia, and not too spectacularly… After years abroad playing for the likes of Derby County, Manchester City, and Malaga of Spain, Wanchope is obviously winding down his spectacular career, slumming. Three games and counting, no goals or anything special from Wanchope. Sure bet he will hang it up after Germany 2006. Still, his current slump can’t be good news for the ticos who’d depend on him for goals.
Franz Beckenbauer will be visiting Costa Rica next Tuesday, perhaps to make sure the Fedefut is all on track for the big opening? Perhaps to hit a few beaches? Who knows?
