Costa Rica is in Munich

June 8th, 2006 | By: Bruno | 4 Comments »

The Costa Rican National team arrived by train in Munich at the end of the day on Wednesday, being warmly greeted at the city’s train station by several Tico fans. The fans chanted “Oe, oe, oe, ticos, ticos”, as the players and coaching staff descended the train and headed to the bus that would take them to the hotel where they are staying prior to tomorrow’s game against Germany. After a brief conditioning session at the hotel, players had dinner and went to their bedrooms to rest after the three-hour long trip. There’s one training scheduled for this morning and another one for tonight at the venue of tomorrow’s match, the Allianz-Arena.

Football, football, football, that is all we care about now, and of course watching Costa Rica defeat Germany would be the max!

Far from my homeland and far from the Munich I feel the pressure… I want to bear in my shoulders the preassure, so none of the Costa Rican players feel it… small country… small league… it will be a dream if we can understand the size of the opening game!

OE OE OE OE… TICOS! TICOS!
