Two players out with injuries
Medical problems that have started to plague some teams arriving for the World Cup in Germany seem to have caught up with Costa Rica. Two players will sit out the friendly match against Catalunya today, in Barcelona. Mauricio Solis has muscle pain that will likely keep him out of regular training for a few days. Defender Gilberto Martinez problems may be a bit more serious, with an injury to the left knee. He will undertake an MRI today to fully evaluate the seriousness of the injury, which will keep him out for at least five days - which means he’ll not face Catalunya today and Ukraine on Sunday. Both players did not practice with the team yesterday, upon arriving in Barcelona.
