Sleep later
After arriving around midnight in its hotel in the town of Rust, in Germany, Costa Rica’s players did not get much time to sleep this morning. Despite the 17-hour trip from Costa Rica, coach Alexandre Guimaraes did not want to lose any time in the team’s preparation schedule. This morning the team was already training at the grounds chosen by the team near the hotel, despite the rain that fell and the 15C that was much colder than the temperature the players had been experiencing during the last few days at a tourist resort back home. Who said this was going to be easy? After all, the World Cup is only every four years. Sleep can wait until later.
