In the Costa Rica championship both biggies Saprissa and LDA lost against local rivals, each placing third in their respective groups for the moment. Could it be a final without either? And since they both lost agaist Mexican opponents in their quest for CONCACAF champion, well, they are both having a miserable week it may be said. Strange symmetry! And they probably both will be eliminated this week after the return games are played. The World Cup is not much of an issue right now, not much of the juggling and back and forth that marks many of the favorites daily preparations, no, not in Costa Rica… That’s the way it is, if you are in it for the fun… without too much expectation and pressure.
