Guimaraes to define tactical approach during friendlies
Despite acknowledging most of his planning for the first round World Cup matches have been defined already, coach Alexandre Guimaraes hopes to set the final details during the friendlies the team will play this month in Europe. He hopes the games in Barcelona (May 24) and especially those in Ukraine (May 28) and the Czech Republic (May 30) may just provide the setting he needs to confirm his plans for the official matches in the World Cup. As should be expected, Guimaraes does intend to use different approaches to face the different opponents in Group A, based on their individual characteristics. In the friendlies before that he’ll try to test these different positioning strategies he came up with, and make last minute changes should they be needed.
