Experienced enough?

In its third World Cup finals appearance, Costa Rica believes it can at least equal the success it achieved 16 years ago in Italy, when it reached the second round. Striker Paulo Wanchope, for instance, thinks the international experience gathered by many of the players that made the team will likely help when facing its first round opponents. Though only 3 of the 23 players in the Costa Rican squad currently play overseas, most of the team has played in the 2002 World Cup. And this World Cup experience may be just what the team needs to last more than 3 games in the tournament.
