Costa Rica’s Preparations

Next friendly for the Ticos, and likely the last before the Cup, will be in the Czech Republic against the hosts on May 30th. No controversy there unlike their last outing against pariah Iran, and most likely after this one “la Sele” will stay in Europe to complete their preparations for the big event. A decent show against the Czechs, one of the powerhouses of Europe will do much to lift the ticos spirits, not that they are particularly low as it is. What is low at this point are great illusions and expectations-in true sports spirit the Ticos are happy to be there and taking part.

FIFA has “approved” the Costa Ricans uniforms for the tournament, red white blue, or blue white white, or red white white… Since their flag is red, white and blue, not much of a surprise there…
