Costa Rica Championship

The more things change, the more they, you know… After what promised to be a first, a final without either La Liga or Saprissa, surprise!!! The final will be between La Liga and Saprissa… Oh well, they don’t call them “grands” for nothing, they can pull it off when they have to. Too bad. I always root for the underdogs but in this increasingly moneyed world the money rarely loses. Imagine a Germany 2006 final between, let’s see, Costa Rica and Australia? Wow, as much as messrs Blatter and Beckenbauer would have us believe in the magic, I wonder if their organizations would be able to take the financial hit. It sure would be great for the game though…, and anyone would be able to get a ticket for the game.
